Hello Hello!

So this is the part where I’m supposed to talk about myself and convince you to choose me over all the other photographers…right?!

Well it turned out, I wasn’t great at talking about myself so I did the next best thing and got a dear friend and former colleague to write about me and my journey so far!

“ The two greatest driving forces in Shari Hinch’s life have always been family and creativity, in that order.

She developed her creative skills through a Bachelor of design from the University of Ballarat and over a decade of experience in commercial graphic design, photographic retouching and studio portraiture in one of Melbourne’s busiest portrait studios. Her understanding of light, photographic composition and post-production make her a great photographer.

But it’s the importance of family that makes Shari a great portrait and wedding photographer. She understands it’s the connection between the people she’s capturing that makes a real image. She’s moved from her hometown of Horsham, to Melbourne, to Adelaide and made the big arch home, all the while building her skills and a little family of her own. Her no bullshit approach to making beautiful real images of people is what sets her apart from her contemporaries. "

I just want to finish by saying, I know this whole process can be daunting and hard to organise (especially with the males) but I promise it will be worth your while and I’ll guide and direct you to pass any awkwardness! The image of me above as a new mum was a fleeting moment, and although I was one week postpartum and didn’t really feel like being in front of the camera, I’m so happy I did.
